About Me

Lindsey Slaugh is currently in her second year of studies to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in Costume Production Technology  from Carnegie Mellon University. She graduated from Penn State University in 2007 where she studied Theatrical Production for Costume Design and History. She has been an active member of the living history community for over a decade, authentically portraying a civilian of the American Civil War era and volunteering at various 18th and 19th century museums.

History has long been her pastime and she has expressed this passion through extensive research and volunteer work with local historical sites. Internships and experiences—both theatrical and historical—have included work with original clothing and image collections, jobs in the costume production departments of theatres, creating reproduction garments privately and for clients, leading sewing workshops and giving presentations on historical clothing.

Lindsey has been recognized for excellence in costume design for theatre and authenticity in reenacting.
